J’ai eu le sentiment bouleversant de lire, pour la premi\u00e8re fois, les mots que je portais en moi depuis longtemps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the first time, I felt as though someone had found the words I had carried within me for so long.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n

Lors de mon s\u00e9jour \u00e0 Okonjima, en Namibie, un cadeau nous attendait dans notre chambre : le portrait d’un l\u00e9opard accompagn\u00e9, au verso, de ce po\u00e8me de Wayne Visser.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ce geste, aussi simple que d\u00e9licat, m’a profond\u00e9ment touch\u00e9e.
En d\u00e9couvrant ces mots, j’ai eu le sentiment bouleversant que quelqu’un avait su exprimer avec une justesse infinie ce que je ressens depuis toujours pour l’Afrique.
Des \u00e9motions que je porte en moi depuis des ann\u00e9es, mais que je n’aurais jamais su traduire avec autant de po\u00e9sie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aujourd’hui, j’ai choisi d’accompagner ce po\u00e8me de l’un de mes propres portraits de l\u00e9opard.
Une mani\u00e8re de faire dialoguer mon regard de photographe avec les mots qui m’ont tant \u00e9mue.
En le partageant ici, je souhaite avant tout rendre hommage \u00e0 son auteur, Wayne Visser, ainsi qu’\u00e0 Okonjima, o\u00f9 j’ai eu le bonheur de d\u00e9couvrir ce texte. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Puissent ces mots toucher d’autres voyageurs comme ils m’ont touch\u00e9e.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During my stay at Okonjima in Namibia, a thoughtful gift awaited us in our room: a beautiful leopard portrait with this poem by Wayne Visser printed on its reverse side.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was a simple gesture, yet one that moved me deeply.
As I read these words, I had the overwhelming feeling that someone had perfectly expressed what Africa has meant to me for so many years.
Feelings I have carried within me for a long time, yet could never have put into words with such grace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, I have chosen to accompany this poem with one of my own leopard portraits\u2014a quiet dialogue between my photography and the words that touched my heart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By sharing it here, I simply wish to pay tribute to its author, Wayne Visser, and to Okonjima, where I had the privilege of discovering it.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

May these words resonate with others as deeply as they have with me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
